Why Proxies?
Twitter tracks IP addresses. If multiple bot accounts log in from the same IP, they may get flagged. Proxies give each account a unique IP address.Good news: GenX provides system proxies by default. You only need to add your own if you’re scaling beyond what the built-in proxies support.
System Proxies
GenX comes with pre-configured system proxies that are shared across the platform. These work automatically — no setup required. System proxies are used for:- Bot account login
- Tweet posting
- Profile fetching
Adding Custom Proxies
- Go to the proxy management section
- Click + Add Proxy
- Enter the proxy address in this format:
- Click Test to verify the connection
- If alive, assign it to specific accounts
Proxy Formats Supported
Testing Proxies
Click Test on any proxy to verify it works. GenX checks:- HTTP connectivity (via httpbin.org)
- Response time
- IP address
- Active (green) — working
- Dead (red) — not reachable
Best Practices
- Use residential proxies for best results (datacenter IPs get flagged faster)
- Assign one proxy per account for maximum safety
- Test regularly — proxies can go down without notice
- Use proxies geographically close to your target audience
